(1990) The almost simultaneous Christie recording on HM is also well worthwhile, although Erato furnished a superior, facsimile libretto. Neither recording is complete. The 2-CD reissue of Christie's version includes all of the music but omits the English translation included in the abridged 1990 1-CD set. Harmonia Mundi presumably cheated their customers again to prevent a glut of the defective, space-hogging 1990 CDs on eBay and Amazon marketplace.
